Velocity is our summer camp. For more than 30 years, Calvary has gathered with a group of churches who run camp together. It’s a week filled with fun and games, but also a great opportunity to encounter God. Each day will have 2 main sessions, a breakout group, youth group time, big group games, free time, late night options, and a little bit of sleep. You’ll have time to meet new people as well as deepen friendships you already have.
It's an amazing week of learning, worship, connecting with friends, and having a great time. There's all sorts of games and activities that will keep you busy at least 16 hours a day. Like to stay active? Join a Soccer, Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Spike Ball, or Volleyball tournament. Want to do something more chill? Enjoy Trivia Night, daily crafts, Silent Disco, a trip to the pool, or visit the board game lounge. Check out the promo video below for a better look at what you can expect at Velocity.
This year’s theme is: In the valley. What does our faith look like when we’re left asking the question, “why”? Sometimes life throws us curve balls and it doesn’t end up looking the way we want or expected. This often leads us asking the question, “why would God let this happen?”. What does our relationship with Jesus look like, and what hope does the gospel offer in our “why” moments?
