Calling all singers! Worshipers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join for a special Worship Choir as we kick off the Christmas season as a church family on Sunday December 15. The choir will be a key part of leading our church family in all of our worship songs that day, accompanied by instrumentalists from our worship team.

As part of the choir you can expect to:
Attend In-Person Practices
We're offering 2 practices this time around: Tuesdays, December 3 & 10, 6:30-8:00 p.m. We will gather in the Choir Room to review song structure and harmony parts. Choir practices are known for being lots of fun and musically enriching. They're also the ideal way to prepare for singing in the worship service - practicing as a group. If you can't make it to practice, we'll miss you, but please don't let that stop you from participating. Please just join us as you are available.
Practice the songs on your own
At-home practice materials can be accessed and downloaded by clicking the button below. Reading sheet music is not necessary, but we’ve posted some in case it’s helpful to you. Singing harmony is not necessary, but we’ve posted some recordings of harmony parts in case you’d like to give it a try. However you want to go about it, spend some time familiarizing yourself with the songs. You do not need to memorize lyrics. All the lyrics will be visible on the confidence monitor in the back of the Auditorium. But the more familiar with the lyrics and song you are, the more confident you will feel as you help lead our church family in worship.
Attend Sunday morning rehearsal
We will practice all the songs together with the worship team band prior to the worship service on Sunday morning, December 3. You should plan to arrive to the Auditorium around 8:15 a.m. and we will rehearse until about 10:15 a.m. If you have another volunteer commitment during First Hour that day, we strongly encourage you to arrange for a sub/swap if possible so that you can participate in the rehearsal.
Dress for the season
Worship Choir participants should plan to wear whatever you’d wear on a typical Sunday in early December.
A note about kids: We are planning to have a special Sunday where our Calvary Kids help lead us in worship later this spring, but they are certainly welcome here as well. If you have a child aged 5th grade or younger who wants to participate, we kindly ask that 1) a parent/guardian or older sibling participates with them, 2) they are entrusted to another adult or teen who is participating or 3) a parent or guardian attends practices AND stays in the Auditorium during our Sunday rehearsal time.
